A fantastic opportunity came my way in 2008 when I landed a major commission for the Sebel Hotel, Mandurah.

I built and created 116 original paintings, each measuring 150cm x 60cm for the 84 hotel rooms, apartments and one large scale 4800cm x 1200cm painting for the corridor.

The techniques I developed for the project utilises solvent based bitumen, acrylic, grass tree resin, enamels, plaster and graphite to describe the organic, shifting flow of the unique waterways, ocean and estuary which Mandurah is renowned for.

The aqua blues and greens in antimony with the earthy rawness of the colour of bitumen and resin have proved to be the most popular series in my portfolio.
