After painting numerous murals in the private and corporate sector for many years, my dream to paint from a deeply emotive, personal place eventually became realised in the summer of 2000 when I enrolled at Edith Cowan University to study conceptual, abstracted art.

The exciting journey of self discovery began. I threw myself, wholeheartedly, into the experimental processes of surface technique. Expressive gesture, mark making, line, and colour play a significant part of my design process. By utilising many different mark making tools in the work, layers of rich colour and nuances are built up.

Once I discovered the importance of design, tone and value in the composition, my work took on a different direction and consequently have made vast improvements in my work. This new development in my processes is clearly showcased in my latest exhibitions entitled AWAKENING 2020, INNOVATION 2021, HIGH RESOLUTION 2023 and QUIDDITY 2024.
